World Mental Health Day 2021: Mental Health Around the World

World Mental Health Day 2021 falls on October 10th. The day was created in 1992 by the World Federation for Mental Health in order to bring awareness to mental health issues around the world and to fight the stigma that surrounds them. Mental health is an important issue that should be given attention all year round, but this day is a chance to really shine a spotlight on the problem. In order to do so, we’ve put together a blog on mental health around the world. Depression is the most common mental health disorder in the world. These disorders are characterized by an abnormal relationship with food, which can lead to dangerous eating habits. PTSD is a mental health disorder that can occur after a traumatic event. It affects around 7 million adults in the US and can cause a range of symptoms, including flashbacks, nightmares, and anxiety. Bipolar disorder is a mental health disorder that affects around 2.6% of the US population. It is characterized by extreme mood swings, which can include periods of mania and depression. schizophrenia is a mental health disorder that affects around 1% of the world’s population. It is characterized by a range of symptoms, including hallucinations, delusions, and disordered thinking. Mental health is an important issue that should be given attention all year round. World Mental Health Day is a chance to bring awareness to mental health issues around the world and to fight the stigma that surrounds them.
